About Us

We’re Justin and Jessica—two design nerds who met by chance in 2004 at Digital Art School and have been partners in crime ever since. In 2006, we leveled up into parents (hello, college kid!), and our team now includes three goofy cats and one ever-enthusiastic dog.

Our Journey
By 2010, our passion for the great outdoors led us to launch Hounddog Hammock Gear, crafting unique camping essentials for fellow adventurers. In 2013, we dove headlong into digital art and photography with Print on Demand Patterns at Spoonflower. Two years later, we broadened our reach by offering our designs at Ripstop by the Roll—melding our whimsical prints with rugged outdoor fabrics.

As our digital creations flourished, we united all our side gigs under the playful banner DoubleJDoodles in 2018—a nod to our shared initials and boundless creativity. But when our Maker’s Space buzzed to life with sewing, weaving, sublimation, 3D printing, laser cutting/engraving, and resin crafting, we realized our name needed an upgrade. That realization sparked the soft launch of NerdMuse in October 2023—and by early 2025, NerdMuse, LLC, was official.

What We Do Today

• Maker’s Space Magic: From cozy fiber arts to high-precision 3D prints and laser-etched treasures, we bring tactile wonder to life.

• Digital Delights: Our Human Made artwork and photography are available via Printify—and still on Spoonflower and RipstopbytheRoll.com—for high-quality, print-on-demand goodies.

• Community & Pop-Ups: Catch us at local markets around upstate New York, or shop online anytime.

Behind the Scenes
Justin has spent the last 11 years at Ripstop by the Roll, while Jessica split nearly a decade between the local school district and county conservation. Together, we geek out over TTRPGs, board games, cosplay, video games, and hammock camping.
